I guess the Human Race is friggin doomed!

Metals Co., a business formed when Canadian startup DeepGreen merged with a special-purpose acquisition company, is touting seabed mining as an alternative to land-based mining. As the company prepares to go public, 530 marine-science and policy experts warn seabed mining would inflict environmental damage “irreversible on multi-generational timescales.” That should alarm not just investors, Adam Minter writes in Bloomberg Opinion, but policy makers charged with protecting the oceans.

What the hell is wrong with these idiots? Anyone who moves forward with this kind of mining operation without knowing with certainty, the impact on “our” (not their) planet should be arrested and thrown in jail, period. Some people, (like the honey badger, eh?) just don’t give a shit. If they can make a $million off of a business that annihilates the Human Race just cuz, hey!, “its not illegal and hey! I want my $million of paper dollars. Screw the planet and everyone and everything on it!. Where’s my $million!!

I think we need to set up a CIA black ops site to anonymously apprehend and jail everyone who threatens our planet with these kinds of apocalyptic “business opportunities”. I hear GItmo is opening up a little?

Board is open.
